Dr Griff (Robert) Walker is a highly qualified gastroenterologist who obtained his Fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) in 2009. He completed his core Gastroenterology training in 2009 and obtained a fellowship in interventional endoscopy, which enabled him to gain extensive experience in endoscopic mucosal resection of large polyps, ERCP, and endoscopic ultrasound. Following his Fellowship, Dr Walker joined the Princess Alexandra Hospital as a Staff Specialist before completing a 12-month fellowship on pancreaticobiliary disease at Duke University Medical Center, North Carolina, USA. Dr Walker has been practicing as a consultant Gastroenterologist at the Gold Coast University Hospital and the Gold Coast Private Hospital since his return to Australia in 2011. His areas of interest include general gastroenterology and inflammatory bowel disease, and he enjoys training junior medical staff, nursing staff, and medical students at the Gold Coast University Hospital. Dr Walker is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to his patients and offers a full range of endoscopic procedures, including open access gastroscopy and colonoscopy.
