Gaurav is a highly skilled Neurologist with specialized training in Neurophysiology and Neuromuscular medicine. He completed his Neurology training at Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital in Queensland, Australia. After his Neurology training, he continued his fellowship studies in both hospitals, specialising in neurophysiology testing and neuromuscular disorders. Gaurav has exceptional diagnostic abilities and carries a vast experience in nerve conduction studies, EMG, treatment of nerve and muscle disorders, and Botulinum toxin treatment for various neurological conditions. Presently, he works at the Gold Coast University Hospital, where he manages a wide array of neurological conditions, with a particular interest in complicated and rare neurological conditions.
Besides his clinical practice, Gaurav is a dedicated educator involved in training and mentoring neurology registrars, fellows, and neurophysiology scientists. He holds a senior lecturer position at Griffith University and University of Queensland.
Gaurav contributes to several multinational trials in neuromuscular diseases, including motor neuron disease, myasthenia gravis, and peripheral neuropathies. He is a fellow of the Royal Australian College of Physicians and a Diplomate with American Board of Electrodiagnostic medicine. With his extensive expertise in the field, he is a go-to Neurologist both nationally and internationally.
