Dr Rafid Alzubaidy is an accomplished surgeon with extensive experience in breast, endocrine, melanoma, and laparoscopic general surgery. He completed his undergraduate degree in medicine at the University of Al-Mustanseria in Iraq in 1996 and later relocated to Australia in 2000. Dr Alzubaidy began his surgical training in Adelaide in 2006, after which he moved to Perth to undertake further studies in advanced training in general surgery. Subsequently, he commenced his breast fellowship training in Perth in 2012 at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital before relocating to Queensland in 2013 to complete his breast surgery training. Dr Alzubaidy obtained his fellowship in general surgery (FRACS) and later completed two years of post-fellowship training in breast surgery, monitored by the Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastSurgANZ), which he is still an active member of. Currently, Dr Alzubaidy is affiliated with Gold Coast University and Robina Hospitals and also has a private practice at Gold Coast Private Hospital, where he interacts with patients in a professional and empathetic manner. He is renowned for his surgical expertise, utilising the latest medical advances and surgical techniques to provide his patients with the best possible care.
