Dr Steven Kahane

Dr. Steven Kahane is an experienced Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgeon who currently practices on the Gold Coast. He has achieved fellowship qualifications from both Australia and England, with a particular interest in hip and knee surgery, robotic-assisted surgery, arthroscopy, lower limb joint replacement, sports surgery, and general orthopaedic trauma. Dr. Kahane's main focus lies in hip fracture surgery, seeking to provide his patients with the best possible care in this area.   After completing a six-year orthopaedic training program and fellowship examinations from the Royal College of Surgeons of England, Dr. Kahane went on to undertake a one-year Australian Orthopaedic Association Approved Fellowship at the Gold Coast University Hospital. During this time, he completed his training in robotic-assisted surgery including hip and knee arthroplasty. Following his successful recognition pathway through the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr. Kahane is now able to serve his patients even more efficiently.    As a consultant surgeon at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Robina Hospital and the Varsity Lakes Day Hospital since February 2019, Dr. Kahane works closely with patients and general practitioners to identify the problem, make a diagnosis, and explain the symptoms. He provides patients with the latest and best advice about how to treat their condition while maximizing their quality of life. He is also an Assistant Professor at Bond University and a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University.    Dr. Kahane offers his services at Gold Coast Private Hospital, where he treats patients who require his skillset.
