Dr Sally Cohen

Dr. Sally Cohen is a skilled and accomplished gynaecologist based in the Gold Coast and Brisbane. With extensive training and experience in obstetrics and gynaecology, Dr. Cohen is dedicated to providing the highest standard of care to women at all stages of their lives.

After graduating from the University of Queensland, Dr. Cohen lived and worked in France before returning to Australia to complete her medical training at the University of Sydney. She then went on to complete advanced training in obstetrics and gynaecology at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. Dr. Cohen has also completed a fellowship in minimally invasive surgery at St Vincent’s Hospital and is currently undertaking an observership in Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology at the Mater Children’s and Royal Women’s Hospital in Brisbane.

As a fluent French speaker, Dr. Cohen is able to conduct consultations in French if required. She has a particular interest in minimally invasive techniques for gynaecological procedures, including laparoscopic surgery and hysterectomy. Her areas of expertise also include endometriosis and pelvic pain, menstrual disorders, ovarian cysts, fibroid management, paediatric and adolescent gynaecology, and colposcopy and LLETZ procedures.

Currently holding a Staff Specialist position at the Gold Coast University Hospital, Dr. Cohen practices both obstetrics and gynaecology, and enjoys teaching registrars and medical students. She also regularly consults and operates at the Gold Coast Private Hospital, as well as consulting at Athol Place in Brisbane. Dr. Cohen aims to provide personalised care to every patient, taking into consideration their unique needs and personal circumstances to ensure that all options are well considered.
