Dr Helen Green

Dr. Helen Green is a compassionate and highly skilled Gynaecological Oncologist with a focus on providing exceptional care to women suffering from cancerous or precancerous gynaecological conditions. She is also passionate about utilizing minimally invasive surgery to treat benign gynaecological conditions and has a special interest in menopausal management.

Helen graduated from the University of Queensland and completed her specialist training in Gynaecology at the Gold Coast University Hospital. Thereafter, she obtained a Certificate of Gynaecological Oncology from GCUH, the Chris O’Brien Lifehouse and King Edward Memorial Hospital. With years of experience as a specialist in Perth, Helen recently returned to the Gold Coast and is committed to improving access to gynaecological care for regional and rural women.

Helen regularly attends professional workshops and conferences, and has recently travelled to Vienna, Broome, Sydney, and Melbourne. With a focus on providing the latest research in gynaecological oncology, she plans to use her new learnings to assist patients in Far North Queensland at her monthly visits to the region.

Understanding the benefits of local care to aid in the physical and emotional recovery of women with gynaecological cancer, Helen will provide a monthly subspecialty service in Cairns and is also available for telehealth appointments at all other times. Helen’s exceptional care, advocacy for women’s medical and psychological needs, and commitment to research and innovation make her an asset to the field of Gynaecological Oncology.
