Dr Lochlin Brown

Dr Lochlin Brown is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hip and knee surgeries. He has extensive experience in these areas and is deeply committed to delivering excellent patient care. Dr Brown completed his undergraduate medical studies at the prestigious University of Queensland in 2003. Later, he completed his orthopaedic surgical training in Queensland in 2012.

Driven by his passion for providing exceptional care, Dr Brown pursued a postgraduate fellowship in hip and knee surgery at the Royal Infirmary Hospital in Edinburgh, Scotland. During this fellowship, he had the opportunity to work alongside renowned surgeons such as Mr Colin Howie, Past President of the British Orthopaedic Association. He gained expertise in complex primary hip and knee arthroplasty, soft tissue and sports knee surgery, osteotomy, and knee replacement surgery.

Dr Brown is actively involved in his local community and serves as the on-field doctor for the Gold Coast Suns. He is also engaged in training junior medical staff, nursing staff, and medical students as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at Gold Coast University Hospital. Additionally, he holds the position of Director of Training for Orthopaedic Surgery at the hospital.

Specializing in hip and knee arthritis surgery, joint replacement, knee reconstructive and arthroscopic surgery, and lower limb and ankle reconstructive surgery, Dr Brown accepts DVA and Work Cover patients. He understands the unpredictable nature of orthopaedic trauma and ensures that he allocates slots for emergency procedures to provide timely care.

Dr Brown maintains effective collaboration with general practitioners and other healthcare professionals. He is readily available to discuss patients and organize consultations or admissions when needed.
