Dr Sateesh Shankaranarayana

Dr Sateesh Shankaranarayana is a compassionate Rheumatologist who prioritises his patients' well-being by providing holistic care for a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, with a special focus on Inflammatory Arthritis and Connective Tissue Disorders. Since 2014, he has been practicing in the Gold Coast area and is highly regarded by his patients. Dr Shankaranarayana received his medical degree from the University of Mysore, India, and completed Basic Physician Training in India, the United Kingdom, and Australia. He has trained extensively in rheumatology in various hospitals in the United Kingdom and completed a rheumatology fellowship at the Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Greenslopes Hospital, Brisbane. He holds Membership status from the Royal College of Physicians (UK) and Fellowship status from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. As a visiting rheumatologist at Gold Coast University Hospital with clinical privileges at Gold Coast Private, Pindara, and John Flynn Hospitals, Dr Shankaranarayana provides high-quality care to his patients. He is also actively involved in training rheumatology trainees and has extensive experience with musculoskeletal ultrasound. Dr Shankaranarayana is proud to call the Gold Coast his home, where he enjoys spending time with his wife.
