Dr Ramesh Iyer

Meet Dr. Ramesh Iyer, FRACS, an expert in oncoplastic breast surgery and endocrine surgery. With over a decade of experience, Dr. Iyer is dedicated to providing the highest standard of surgical care to his patients.

Dr. Iyer's sub-specialty focuses on breast cancer surgeries, mastectomies, mammoplasty techniques for breast cancer excisions, reduction mammoplasties with nipple repositioning, and implant reconstruction post-cancer surgery. In addition, he performs endocrine procedures like thyroidectomies and parathyroidectomies.

As a member of the breast section of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, Dr. Iyer co-founded the Breast Surgeons of Australia and New Zealand (BreastsurgANZ), an organisation committed to advancing breast surgical oncology. Moreover, Dr. Iyer is a senior lecturer at the University of Queensland and regularly participates in clinical trials and research related to breast cancer treatment.
