A/Prof Terence Chua

With over 200 peer-reviewed publications in high-impact factor surgical journals, Associate Professor Terence C. Chua is an accomplished Specialist Consultant General Surgeon and Clinical Academic Surgeon. He received his double degree in Bachelor of Science in Medicine (BScMed) with 1st Class Honours, Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery (MBBS) from the University of New South Wales (UNSW), where he also obtained his doctoral degree in Philosophy (PhD) and was recognised for his academic excellence through inclusion on the Dean's List. As a surgeon, A/Prof Chua has developed a unique skill set of technical capabilities under the guidance of preeminent surgeons in the field of cancer surgery, colorectal surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and thyroid surgery. He attained specialist qualification as a Fellow from the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons (FRACS) and holds membership from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh, United Kingdom (MRCS Ed). A/Prof Chua has a special expertise in general and colorectal surgery and has conducted research in this area throughout his career, especially in colorectal cancer surgery. He has published more than 200 peer-reviewed articles in high-quality journals, demonstrating his vast knowledge and expertise in surgical procedures and techniques.
