Dr Bhaskar Chakravarty

Dr Bhaskar Chakravarty is a highly qualified and dedicated medical professional specialising in gastroenterology. He currently practices in Bundall, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia. Dr Chakravarty is affiliated with Gold Coast Private Hospital and Pindara Private Hospital.

Dr Chakravarty obtained his medical degree from Dacca Medical College and further pursued his academic endeavors, earning a Ph.D from the University of Cambridge in the United Kingdom. During his time at Cambridge, he was a member of Clare College and focused his research on purifying the Atrial natriuretic peptide, which laid the foundation for his future work.

During this period, he specialised in ERCP (Endoscopic Retrograde Cholangiopancreatography), a complex diagnostic procedure used in the evaluation and treatment of certain gastrointestinal conditions.

Dr Chakravarty's dedication to advancing medical science is evident in his extensive publication record, with over 35 articles published in peer-reviewed journals. His research and publications focus on various aspects of gastroenterology, including inflammatory bowel disease (IBD), ERCP, colonoscopy, and hepatology.
