Dr Animesh Mishra

Dr Animesh Mishra is a well qualified and experienced gastroenterologist with over two decades of medical expertise. He completed his medical degree with First Class Honours from The University of Sydney in 1999 and is a Fellow in General Practice. However, his passion for gastroenterology led him to pursue further education and training in this field.

After completing his gastroenterology training at Westmead and Royal North Shore Hospitals in Sydney, he served as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in various locations, including Sydney, Canberra, Gosford, Wyong, and Port Macquarie. This diverse experience allowed him to hone his skills and expertise prior to joining The Gastrointestinal Centre as a Consultant Gastroenterologist in August 2010.

At The Gastrointestinal Centre, Dr Mishra provides a comprehensive and professional gastroenterology and hepatology consultation. His areas of expertise include general gastroenterology, endoscopic mucosal resection (EMR), capsule endoscopy, gastroscopy, and colonoscopy. He has a particular interest in treating patients with inflammatory bowel disease and functional bowel disorders.

Dr Mishra conducts general gastroenterology consultations and procedures at John Flynn Private Hospital, where he also provides on-call and inpatient services. His approach to patient care is characterized by his exceptional level of care and willingness to provide comprehensive and compassionate medical attention to every patient.
