Dr Jason Free

Dr Jason Free is a highly skilled General Surgeon specialising in Weight Loss (Bariatric) surgery and Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary (HPB) Surgery. He has a specific interest in treating patients who have had insufficient weight loss following prior surgeries or complications with prior weight loss procedures. To further his knowledge of this specialty, he underwent specific weight loss surgery training both in Australia and overseas, including surgical weight loss centers in Vienna and London. Dr Free is a member of the Obesity Surgical Society of Australia & New Zealand where he trained as part of the accredited Fellowship training program.

Furthermore, Dr Free has a strong passion for HPB surgery, having completed a two-year full-time residency as a surgeon in units specialising in pancreatic and liver cancer surgery. He also completed the Australian & New Zealand Hepato-Pancreatico-Biliary Association’s training program. For the past two years, he has been dedicated to developing his expertise in laparoscopic liver surgery.
