Dr Suzanne Ma

Dr Suzanne Ma is a highly qualified general surgeon with extensive sub-specialty training in bariatrics, upper gastro-intestinal, and hepatobiliary surgery. She has received training from quaternary, tertiary, and regional hospitals across NSW and Queensland, including the prestigious St George Bariatric Centre of Excellence, which is currently the only center of excellence for bariatric surgery in Australia. Dr. Ma's fellowship training in bariatrics focused on revisional and endoscopic weight loss surgeries, and she further honed her skills by attending fellowships with renowned pioneering bariatric surgeons, including Dr. Bruno Dillemanns in Belgium.

Dr. Ma has been an invited speaker at national and international conferences on her area of special interest, revisional bariatrics, which has emerged as an important niche area.
