Dr Daniel Walker is a highly qualified Specialist Laparoscopic General Surgeon with a sub-specialization in Benign Upper GI and Bariatric Surgery. He specialises in minimally invasive surgeries and has expertise in the treatment of several conditions such as weight loss, gastroesophageal reflux, hiatal hernia, gallstones, and hernias, among others. Dr Walker completed his medical studies and internship at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital and worked as a surgical assistant to many Upper GI and bariatric surgeons. He then underwent training in general surgery at several public hospitals before obtaining his FRACS in General Surgery in 2018.

Dr Walker further completed his sub-specialty training in Upper GI and Bariatric surgery at the RBWH, which is one of the busiest units in the country for laparoscopic surgery. He has been awarded several accolades throughout his training for his exceptional surgical skills and patient care. Dr Walker believes that empathetic communication and excellent surgical skills are essential in providing excellent patient outcomes. In his free time, he enjoys spending quality time with his wife and four children and indulging in outdoor activities.
