Dr Zaheerodin Bhikoo

Dr Zaheer Bhikoo is an accomplished Respiratory & General Physician who completed his undergraduate education at the University of Cape Town, South Africa. He has since honed his skills in the UK, where he obtained his Membership of the Royal College of Physicians, and in New Zealand, where he completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, specialising in Respiratory and General Medicine. Dr Bhikoo served as a respiratory physician at a tertiary facility in New Zealand where he was responsible for leading the respiratory training program, a severe asthma service, and the respiratory physiology laboratory. He also acted as an associate director of physician training at the facility and served as a senior lecturer with the University of Auckland.

Dr Bhikoo joined Caboolture Hospital in Queensland in 2018, where he currently works as a Clinical Director of Medicine and Respiratory Physician. He is also a senior lecturer with the University of Queensland. Dr Bhikoo's focus areas include respiratory diseases such as asthma, COPD, bronchiectasis, interstitial lung disease, and respiratory infections, as well as teaching clinical skills. He also has research interests in airways disease, respiratory physiology, and quality improvement.

Dr Bhikoo is a caring individual who places patient well-being at the forefront of his practice.
