Dr Leon Kitipornchai

Dr Leon Kitipornchai is a highly skilled ENT surgeon who specialises in Obstructive Sleep Apnoea and Snoring Surgery. He was raised in Brisbane and earned his Bachelors, postgraduate Medical, and Masters degrees from the University of Queensland. After completing his ENT training in Queensland, he became a Fellow of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery from the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. Dr Kitipornchai completed his post-fellowship clinical and research post with Professor Stuart MacKay in Wollongong, where he primarily focused on Obstructive Sleep Apnoea in children and adults, as well as Thyroid and Parathyroid surgery. Currently, he is pursuing a Master of Medicine degree in Sleep Medicine from the University of Sydney. Along with being a highly experienced surgeon, Dr Kitipornchai is a Senior Lecturer at the University of Queensland, where he actively supports the education and training of medical students and ENT registrars. He has conducted extensive research and has several international publications, book chapters, and invitations to speak at national conferences and courses on surgeries for Sleep Apnoea. As a member of various professional organisations, including the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons, the Australian Society of Otolaryngology Head and Neck Surgery, the Australian Medical Association, the International Surgical Sleep Society, and the Australasian Sleep Association, Dr Kitipornchai strives to maintain the highest standard of medical practice in his field.
