Dr Martin Hanson

Dr Martin Hanson is a highly skilled and experienced Otolaryngology Head & Neck surgeon with a special interest in Thyroid & Parathyroid Surgery, Head & Neck Cancer Surgery, and Facial Plastic Surgery. He holds advanced training and is among a select group of Australian surgeons to be dually trained in the USA. Dr Hanson completed clinical fellowships at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center and the University of Virginia, where he refined his clinical and technical expertise. He is one of only two surgeons in Queensland to be formally trained in the performance of deep-plane facelifts.

Dr Hanson has presented clinical research at international academic meetings and conferences and authored numerous peer-reviewed papers and textbook chapters. He is committed to providing the best possible treatments for his patients while focusing on maximizing their quality of life. Dr Hanson is known for his sensitivity to all issues affecting his patients and sees himself as someone who genuinely cares about their well-being.

Born and raised in Brisbane, he obtained undergraduate degrees in Science (Biomedical) and Business Management (Real Estate & Development) before completing his postgraduate medical degree from the University of Queensland. Dr Hanson is currently completing a Masters focusing on cutaneous malignancies while raising three young children with his wife.
