Dr Thomas Slaughter

Dr Thomas Slaughter is an experienced ear, nose, and throat (ENT) surgeon with advanced training in head and neck surgery. Passionate about his profession, Dr Slaughter graduated from the University of Queensland with a degree in Medicine in 2006. He then went on to complete his ENT surgical training with the Royal Australian College of Surgeons in Sydney, where he gained significant experience in major ENT units, including St. Vincent's Hospital and Royal North Shore. During his time in Sydney, he also worked extensively with pediatric patients at Westmead Children’s and Sydney Children’s Hospitals. In 2015, Dr Slaughter returned to Brisbane to complete further advanced fellowship training as the head and neck fellow at the Princess Alexandria Hospital. Currently, Dr Slaughter holds appointments as a surgeon at the Royal Brisbane and Logan Hospitals, where he is also involved in registrar training. He is also a faculty member for the Princess Alexandra Hospital head and neck dissection course. Dr Slaughter has undergone extensive training in various aspects of ENT surgery and is passionate about providing high-quality care to his patients. He believes in the importance of approachability and communication in medicine, and this is evident in his interactions with his patients, ensuring they are comfortable throughout any medical treatment or procedure.
