Dr Sarah Pena

Meet Dr Sarah Peña, an experienced ENT surgeon with a passion for paediatric ENT, head and neck cancer surgery, as well as thyroid, parathyroid and parotid surgery. Dr Peña completed her medical degree at Louisiana State University in New Orleans before undergoing specialist surgical training in Louisiana institutions. She holds a board certification from the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery and a two-year fellowship in head and neck cancer surgery at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. Dr Peña is registered as a specialist in both Australia and the US and is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons.

Apart from her clinical work, Dr Peña is also a dedicated teacher and mentor at the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. She finds joy in guiding and supporting medical students, junior doctors and surgical registrars, and is a valued member of the hospital's Head and Neck MDT. With her international and local experience, Dr Peña brings a valuable perspective to her work and provides excellent care to her patients.
