Dr Katherine Semple

Dr Katherine Semple is an accomplished Respiratory and Sleep Physician with a wealth of experience in her field. Currently based at Greenslopes Private Hospital and serving as a visiting medical officer at the Mater Adults Hospital, Katherine graduated with a medical degree from the University of Queensland. After her training in Respiratory Medicine in Brisbane and at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital, Sydney, Katherine completed a Sleep Fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. She also undertook a research project focused on Pseudomonas biofilm formation in bronchiectasis and was awarded a Master of Philosophy from UQ eventually.

As an expert in all aspects of respiratory and sleep medicine, Katherine holds a particular interest in studying bronchiectasis and pulmonary infections. Her expertise and dedication to excellent patient care and management have garnered her a strong reputation among peers and clients alike. To keep her knowledge in the field updated, Katherine maintains a research interest and her association with the Gallipoli Medical Research Foundation allows her to stay up-to-date with the latest developments. With her extensive expertise, Katherine is highly skilled in diagnosing, treating, and managing a range of respiratory and sleep disorders.
