He completed his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Queensland and was awarded First-Class Honours for his research on using next-generation genetic testing to diagnose and treat bone marrow disorders. He also received the Royal Australasian College of Physicians Trainee Research Excellence Award for his investigation into the causes of abnormal platelet counts during his Physician Training at Mater Hospital Brisbane where he gained experience in a range of specialties including Intensive Care and Obstetric Medicine. Dr Klose's Advanced Training in Haematology was completed at Greenslopes Private Hospital and the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital where he developed expertise in the diagnosis and management of leukaemia, lymphoma, myeloma, and non-malignant haematology disorders like bleeding and thrombosis. He has experience in administering various treatments such as chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and cellular therapies including bone marrow transplantation and CAR-T cell therapy. As a dual-qualified clinical and laboratory haematologist, Dr Klose continues to work behind the microscope to provide precise and timely diagnoses. Dr Klose believes that the best outcomes in healthcare delivery occur with a personalised approach driven by cutting-edge medical research.
