Dr King Sang Wong is a highly skilled General Surgeon with a speciality in hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases. He graduated from Adelaide University in 2004 and completed his General Surgical training at top hospitals such as St George Hospital (Sydney) and John Hunter Hospital (Newcastle). He obtained his fellowship in General Surgery in 2011 and later pursued Upper GIT / Bariatric fellowship at John Flynn Private Hospital and Tweed Heads Hospital in 2012.
To further his career as a specialist, Dr Wong obtained a formal ANZHPBA fellowship in 2013 at the prestigious Royal Adelaide Hospital. In 2014, he served as the HPB and Liver transplant fellow at Flinders Medical Centre, Adelaide, where he honed his skills in open and laparoscopic liver and pancreas surgery, as well as complex biliary surgery. Apart from his interest in all aspects of hepatobiliary and pancreatic diseases, he also specialises in open and laparoscopic abdominal hernia surgery.
Dr Wong is a vital member of the multi-disciplinary team at John Flynn Private and Tweed Heads hospitals. He is dedicated to providing comprehensive and efficient services to enhance patient care within the Southern Gold Coast, Tweed and Northern Rivers regions.
