Dr Mikhail Sarofim

Dr. Mikhail Sarofim is a dedicated Obstetrician and Gynaecologist committed to women-centered care and limited intervention. He emphasizes trust and personalized care in his obstetric practice, catering to complex pregnancies, VBAC, and pregnancy after previous birth trauma. Dr. Sarofim is proficient in advanced laparoscopic and robotic gynaecological surgery, handling conditions such as pelvic pain, severe endometriosis, fibroids, hysterectomy, and operative hysteroscopy.

He completed his Bachelor of Medical Studies and Medical Degree at the University of New South Wales, followed by junior training at St George Hospital in Sydney. During this time, he also earned a Masters of Surgical Sciences from the University of Sydney. His Obstetrics and Gynaecology training was completed in Sydney, where he gained experience in complex obstetrics at multiple busy units.

Dr. Sarofim further honed his skills through an advanced fellowship in laparoscopic and robotic complex gynaecological surgery at the Sydney Women's Endosurgery Centre, one of Australia's most prestigious fellowships.

In addition to his clinical practice, Dr. Sarofim is deeply involved in research, education, and innovation. He has published and presented at numerous national and international conferences and journals. He is a key player in Australia's premier uterine transplant program at the Royal Hospital for Women and serves on the board of the AGEs R-SIG. His commitment to education extends to his role as a lecturer at the University of New South Wales, where he contributes to the redesign of the Women's Health curriculum.

Dr. Sarofim's personal life, including his wife and two daughters, whom he had the honor of delivering, enriches his professional experience. Recently, he relocated from Sydney to establish his practice on the Gold Coast, aiming to provide high-quality, accessible, and dependable care to the Gold Coast and Northern NSW community.
