Dr Jen Lim is a geriatrician consulting at 42 Inland Drive, Tugun QLD 4224. Patients with non-urgent conditions can typically book an initial appointment within 3–6 months. She is affiliated with leading hospitals, including John Flynn Private Hospital ensuring comprehensive care through established medical networks.
Dr Jen Lim has a passion for geriatric medicine and has always known that she wanted to care for the elderly. Having grown up with her grandparents, she developed a close bond with them, and that sparked her interest in this area of medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the University of Otago in New Zealand in 2011. Dr Lim received specialized training in New Zealand and the Gold Coast and was admitted to the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) nine years later. Dr Lim has specialized in both geriatrics and general medicine and has experience in a variety of areas such as neurocognitive disorders, perioperative medicine, and movement disorders. Additionally, Dr Lim completed a Clinical Diploma of Palliative Medicine, which has given her insights into managing frailty and focusing on quality of life. Dr Lim is committed to providing holistic and person-centered care and enjoys the challenges inherent in this area of medicine where research is often sparse. She understands the importance of individualized assessments and shared decision-making in caring for older patients. She currently provides consultations at John Flynn Private Hospital every Friday.
