Dr Pia Iacovella is a geriatrician consulting at 121 Newdegate Street, Greenslopes QLD 4120. She is affiliated with leading hospitals, including Greenslopes Private Hospital ensuring comprehensive care through established medical networks.
Dr Iacovella is a dedicated and experienced geriatrician committed to providing quality care for aging patients in a constantly changing healthcare landscape. As an accredited supervisor for the Royal Australasian College of Physicians, Dr Iacovella is actively involved in training registrars at both Basic and Advanced levels. His commitment to the preservation of autonomy and independence in elderly patients is reflected in his inpatient and outpatient work at St Vincent’s Brisbane and Greenslopes Private Hospital. In addition to his work with hospital patients, Dr Iacovella runs private clinics at Greenslopes Private Hospital and a specialist Memory Clinic at St Vincent’s. He is also the Geriatrician for the Healthy Ageing Programme at the Mater Public Adult Hospital, an innovative initiative designed to prevent deconditioning in community-dwelling elderly patients who have been admitted with an acute illness. Dr Iacovella serves as the Director of Medicine and Chairman of the Medical Advisory Committee at St Vincent’s Brisbane. In these roles, he supervises advanced geriatric trainees as well as public and private geriatric education and management of patients. Dr Iacovella is committed to providing individualized and personal care for each patient.
