As the Director of Queensland Geriatric Medicine Group, Dr French is a highly regarded Consultant Physician and Geriatrician with a wealth of experience in Geriatric Medicine and Rehabilitation. He brings his expertise to both outpatient and inpatient settings, meeting with patients at QGMG rooms in Greenslopes, as well as in the facilities of Greenslopes and Brisbane Private Hospital. Dr French's areas of focus include the Rehabilitation of older individuals, Orthogeriatrics, and perioperative care for elderly patients. He is also passionate about helping those whose medical issues may affect their independence and function, working to promote healthy ageing and quality of life. Additionally, Dr French is heavily engaged in Physician education and is an examiner with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. His involvement with the School of Medicine at the University of Queensland spans over 15 years, where he serves as a Senior Lecturer and Examiner for medical students. Dr French is a member of several professional organisations, including the ANZSGM Federal Council and Queensland ANZSGM Committee, the Medical Advisory Council at GPH, the Credentialing Committee at GPH, and the Patient Care Review Committee at BPH. He is also the Chair of the Medical Education Committee at GPH and the Medication Safety Committee at BPH. Dr French's dedication to improving the quality of life for older individuals and advancing Physician education makes him an invaluable member of the medical community.
