Dr Kenneth Loon

Dr Kenneth Loon is a highly experienced Colorectal and General Surgeon who is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons. After completing his medical degree at the University of Queensland, Dr Loon undertook extensive Advanced General Surgical Training at prominent medical facilities such as the Mater Hospital and the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He also pursued further sub-specialist Fellowships in Colorectal Surgery as part of the CSSANZ program at the Austin Hospital, Cabrini Hospitals, Alfred Hospital, and Westmead Hospital, earning him invaluable expertise and experience across multiple settings and case types.

Dr Loon currently works as a Consultant Surgeon in Brisbane and the Gold Coast, consulting from his offices in Southport. He also serves on the Board of Directors of several healthcare companies, and is deeply committed to medical education and training. Dr Loon acts as a Senior Lecturer at both the University of Queensland and Griffith University, and is also a Director of, and Senior Lecturer at, the METC Institute.

Dr Loon is a published author and has been awarded a number of prestigious accolades within his field. He is the recipient of the General Surgeons Group's Best Clinical Research Prize, as well as a Travelling Fellowship, which he used to study at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. With his wealth of knowledge and specialized expertise, Dr Loon is dedicated to providing exceptional care to his patients and to furthering the field of surgical medicine through his teaching and research efforts.
