Dr. Lloyd Dorrington completed his undergraduate training in Brisbane, graduating in 1973. He obtained his Specialist Degree in 1980, undergoing post-graduate training in Brisbane and Sydney. Following his tenure as the inaugural staff physician at the Gold Coast Hospital for four years, Dr. Lloyd Dorrington pursued further post-graduate training at Guy's Hospital in London. Since 1985, he has been practising as a gastroenterologist on the Gold Coast, serving both the private and public sectors. Dr. Lloyd Dorrington has previously conducted research on Helicobacter pylori and Hepatitis C. He was instrumental in establishing the Liver Clinic at the Gold Coast Hospital. At Pindara Private Hospital, as well as the Pindara Day Procedure Centre, Pacific Private Day Surgery, and Gold Coast Private Hospital, he performs upper and lower gastrointestinal endoscopies. His areas of particular interest encompass gastrointestinal tract diseases (stomach, esophagus, and colorectal), cancer screening, and liver disease.
