Dr Joshua Jervis-Bardy is a skilled ear surgeon who has dedicated his career to improving the health of his patients. After starting his practice in ENT in 2017, he returned to South Australia to take up consultant posts at major teaching hospitals such as Adelaide's Women’s and Children Hospital. Here, he developed a deep understanding of the challenges facing patients with complex ear conditions that require specialist care. To enhance his knowledge further, he completed a fellowship in Little Rock, Arkansas under the tutelage of Professor John Dornhoffer, a renowned expert in Otology, which solidified Josh's passion for this branch of ENT surgery. Upon his return to Australia in 2019, Josh re-established his practice on the Gold Coast / Northern Rivers area. While he specialises in Otology, which involves procedures such as cholesteatoma removal, cochlear implantation, and grommet insertions, he also maintains organic academic and clinical ties to rhinology, the study of nasal and sinus surgery. This is supported by his PhD research on the subject of chronic rhinosinusitis, which he conducted under the mentorship of Professor PJ Wormald in Adelaide. Josh's work in rhinology has earned him recognition as a regular reviewer for the American Journal of Rhinology and Allergy. Beyond his professional responsibilities, Josh is passionate about making a positive impact in less privileged communities in Australia. He contributes his time and expertise to outreach trips aimed at treating ear diseases in Aboriginal children in remote areas like Katherine in the Northern Territory and Port Lincoln in South Australia. When not at work, Josh enjoys spending quality time with his family, soaking in the beautiful natural surroundings of Gold Coast, or attending to his regular duties at the Lismore Base Hospital. To date, Dr Jervis's published research papers have earned him a solid reputation in the field of t otolaryngology, which is documented through his profile on Publons.
