Dr Venu Bhamidi

Dr. Venu Bhamidi is an experienced Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon who completed his advanced Vascular Surgical training in several world-class institutions. After working for almost a decade as a Vascular & Endovascular Surgeon in Auckland City Hospital and a Senior Lecturer at the University of Auckland, he relocated to Gold Coast University Hospital in 2020 to be closer to his extended family in Australia. With a broad skill set in various aspects of vascular surgery, Dr. Bhamidi's practice includes open and minimally invasive therapies for carotid, aortic, upper and lower limb vascular disease as well as endovenous varicose veins treatment. His clinical interest lies in Complex Endovascular treatment of Aortic Aneurysms and Diabetic peripheral arterial disease/foot wounds.

Dr. Bhamidi's strong academic interest is evident from his numerous publications in various journals, writing of book chapters, and serving as the Assistant Specialty Editor (Vascular Surgery) for the ANZ Journal of Surgery. He has served as a Proctor/Mentor at several South East Asian Hospitals and has been involved in several international research trials. Dr. Bhamidi is committed to providing patient-centered, value-based healthcare to all his patients. His consulting suites are located at the Gold Coast Private Hospital.
