Dr Mark Jackson

Dr. X is a highly skilled vascular surgeon with over two decades of experience in the field. He received his undergraduate medical degree from UNSW in 1991 and underwent surgical training at some of Sydney's top hospitals, including St Vincent’s, St George, and Liverpool. In 2000, Dr. X was awarded FRACS for his advanced general surgical training.

Dr. X's passion for vascular surgery led him to spend three years in London at St Mary's Hospital, where he worked in the Regional Vascular Unit and as a researcher for Imperial College. His doctoral research project examined haemodynamic factors in peripheral vascular bypass grafts and earned him recognition from both the European Society of Vascular Surgery and the Australian & New Zealand Society of Vascular Surgery.

Upon returning to Australia, Dr. X completed his Vascular Surgical subspecialty training, earning his FRACS (Vasc.) in 2004. After settling in South-East Queensland with his family, he began working as a staff specialist at the Gold Coast Hospital in 2005 and as a consultant vascular surgeon at Allamanda Private Hospital shortly after. In his time at Gold Coast Hospital, Dr. X has expanded the vascular service to include renal access surgery, recruited more surgeons, and established a diabetic foot team. He aims to continue expanding the service, establish a hospital-based vascular laboratory, and begin a research program in vascular surgery.

Dr. X's expertise in aortic, carotid, peripheral, and diabetic vascular disease, varicose veins and venous ulcers, and renal access surgery allows him to offer a range of conventional and endovascular techniques based on individual management plans. He has presented his work at various international conferences and was co-opted to the Board of Vascular Surgery (RACS) to coordinate the annual Vascular Trainees' Skills Course and develop a program of Technical Skills Assessment for Vascular Surgical Trainees. Dr. X's dedication to his craft and his patients is evident in his successful track record and commitment to innovation and advancing the field of vascular surgery.
