Dr Deepak Williams

Dr Deepak Williams is a highly skilled vascular and endovascular surgeon and serves as the Medical Director of North Coast Vascular. With a career spanning over three decades, Dr Williams has a wealth of experience in the field of surgery. He graduated from Rajasthan University in Jaipur, India, and went on to complete his internship at one of New Delhi's largest public hospitals, Safdarjang Hospital. After completing his surgical training in the UK, Dr Williams moved to New Zealand to further his studies, and in 2000, he was awarded his FRACS.

In 2001, Dr Williams relocated to Melbourne, where he worked as a Fellow in Vascular Surgery. He was later awarded his FRACS in Vascular Surgery by the Australasian College of Surgeons in 2004. In 2004, Dr Williams started his practice as a specialist in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery in Lismore, where he became the first endovascular surgeon in the region.

Dr Williams has a deep interest in several areas of vascular and endovascular surgery, including hybrid vascular surgery, carotid disease, varicose veins, and dialysis fistula surgery. Over the years, he has been actively involved in teaching medical students and junior doctors. He was even appointed as Junior Lecturer by Melbourne University while working in Melbourne. Today, he is committed to training the next generation of doctors rotating through Lismore Base Hospital and medical students participating in the University of Rural Health program.

When he's not busy performing surgeries or teaching medical students, Dr Williams enjoys playing cricket and reading good detective novels. He also loves spending time with his dogs. Dr Williams has only been operating at John Flynn Private Hospital since January 2018, but his expertise and passion for vascular and endovascular surgery have already earned him a reputation as one of the best in the business.
