Dr Robert Bourke

Dr Robert Bourke is a highly skilled and experienced Ophthalmologist specialising in retinal and cataract surgery. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree from the University of Queensland in 1984 and went on to complete his subspecialty fellowship training in the United Kingdom.

During his time in the UK, Dr Bourke gained extensive knowledge and expertise in the management and treatment of macular degeneration, retinal detachment, cataracts, and other related eye conditions. He also focused on minimizing complications of intraocular surgery, which has proven invaluable in his practice.

In 1995, Dr Bourke returned to Australia and co-founded The Eye Centre Gold Coast and Short Street Day Surgery.
