Dr Naresh Dayananda

Dr Naresh Dayananda is a highly qualified cardiologist with extensive training in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing. Born and raised in Brisbane, he obtained his medical degree from the University of Queensland and completed his advanced training at several major hospitals in the region.

Following his passion for the coastal lifestyle, Dr Dayananda completed his physician exam at Nambour Hospital and developed a fondness for the Sunshine Coast. He subsequently pursued subspecialty training in cardiology at several hospitals, including the Royal Brisbane Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, and Gold Coast Hospital.

Dr Dayananda pursued advanced subspecialty training in cardiac electrophysiology and pacing through a two-year fellowship at the Princess Alexandra Hospital. He then traveled to the Halifax Infirmary in Nova Scotia, Canada, where he completed another two-year fellowship in complex ablation training for atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia.

Currently, Dr Dayananda serves as the Clinical Director in Cardiac Electrophysiology and Pacing at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital, where he is dedicated to improving access to these vital services on the Sunshine Coast. He also consults at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital, providing personalized care to his patients. With his extensive training and commitment to excellence, Dr Dayananda is a valuable asset to the healthcare community on the Sunshine Coast.
