Dr Alana Harris is a highly skilled and experienced cardiologist specialising in heart rhythm management. She has a deep passion for providing excellent patient care and is committed to delivering the highest standard of cardiology services.

Dr Harris obtained her medical degree (MBBS) from the prestigious University of Queensland. She subsequently completed fellowships in Cardiology with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. Dr Harris is also a proud member of the Heart Rhythm Society and the European Heart Rhythm Association.

With over 19 years of experience in the field, Dr Harris has made significant contributions to the field of cardiology. In 2005, she established the first cardiac electrophysiology service and pacemaker clinics on the Sunshine Coast, following a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology at the University of Ottawa. Her dedication to innovation led her to introduce the cryoablation of atrial fibrillation service at Buderim Private Hospital in 2015, further enhancing the range of treatments available to patients.

Dr Harris's clinical interests focus on the comprehensive management of atrial fibrillation, syncope, device implantation, and other aspects of heart rhythm management. Her expertise in structural heart disease, specifically heart valve disease, allows her to provide tailored treatment plans to meet the unique needs of her patients.

Aside from her primary practice at Caloundra Specialist Centre, Dr Alana Harris also sees patients at GenesisCare centres located in Buderim Private Hospital and Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital.
