Dr Jason Conn

Dr Jason Conn is a skilled haematologist practising at Coastal Cancer Care at the Sunshine Coast University Private Hospital. With years of experience in managing patients with both malignant and non-malignant haematologic disorders such as lymphoma, myeloma, leukaemia, and thrombosis/haemostasis, he also holds a staff specialist position at the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. Dr Conn's academic journey began when he completed his MBBS degree with James Cook University, followed by specialised haematology and laboratory training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane & Women's Hospital, where he had the opportunity to work on clinical trials and translational research. He has also published several articles in prominent cancer journals, primarily as a lead author but also in collaboration with interstate and international researchers. He is an Associate Lecturer at the University of Queensland's School of Medicine, which demonstrates his commitment to mentorship.

Dr Conn is a fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP) and Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA), with membership in several cancer trial and research groups such as the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group (ALLG), American Society of Haematology (ASH), and Haematology Society of Australia and New Zealand (HSANZ). He is also pursuing further studies and is currently enrolled in a Master of Clinical Epidemiology at the University of Newcastle, with the aim of providing haematology patients in the Sunshine Coast region with greater access to clinical trials. Dr Conn is deeply committed to partnering with patients and their families, as well as other healthcare practitioners, to develop bespoke disease management strategies.
