He completed his specialist training in clinical haematology at both Princess Alexandra Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital. He then went on to complete a fellowship at University College Hospital in London in 2009, where he focused on state-of-the-art therapy for malignant bone marrow disorders and stem cell transplantation. With his extensive knowledge and experience in the field, Dr Hourigan is a well-regarded clinician and researcher. He is involved with clinical research at Greenslopes Private Hospital, Princess Alexandra Hospital, and Icon Cancer Care Wesley. In addition to his research, Dr Hourigan holds the position of Visiting Consultant Haematologist at Princess Alexandra Hospital where he is heavily involved with the Stem Cell Transplant Program. He is available for all specialist haematology consultations and is committed to providing top-quality care to his patients.
