Dr William Peverill

Dr William Peverill is a highly skilled and accomplished cardiologist, with a primary specialty in interventional cardiology. He is based in Helensvale, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, and is associated with John Flynn Private Hospital. Dr Peverill obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from Bond University in Australia in 2011. He furthered his training in Brisbane, where he gained valuable experience at The Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. He completed his fellowship in percutaneous coronary intervention at Princess Alexandra Hospital before heading overseas to the London Health Sciences Centre in Canada. During his time there, he successfully performed over 1500 coronary interventions and a range of structural procedures. Dr Peverill is highly specialised in complex coronary interventions and structural heart procedures. His areas of expertise include chronic total occlusion stenting, transcatheter aortic valve implantation (TAVI), and percutaneous mitral valve repair. He is dedicated to providing holistic patient care and collaborates with neurologists to develop advanced stroke prevention strategies, such as PFO and ASD closure, as well as left atrial appendage occlusion. He also has a strong interest in advanced heart failure therapies, particularly the use of the MitraClip device. Returning to his hometown on the Gold Coast, Dr Peverill is passionate about advocating for his patients and delivering exceptional care. He has joined The Cardiac Centre, where he works alongside the existing structural heart team to provide outstanding clinical excellence to his patients.
