Dr John Meulet is an exceptionally skilled cardiologist specialising in electrophysiology and rhythm disturbances. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from the University of Queensland in Australia in 1998. He further pursued his passion for cardiology and completed his Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. Having a keen interest in cardiac electrophysiology, Dr Meulet spent two years in the United States at The Cleveland Clinic completing a Fellowship in Cardiac Electrophysiology. During this time, he authored numerous research papers, abstracts, and a book chapter, and presented at various international meetings. Returning to Australia, Dr Meulet joined The Cardiac Centre, a private practice on the Gold Coast. He currently practices at John Flynn and Pindara Hospitals and also consults at both locations and Ballina. In addition, he served as the Director of Cardiac Services and the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory at John Flynn Hospital for two years. Dr Meulet is also the Chair of The Medical Advisory Committee. Dr Meulet has a special interest in curative ablation of atrial fibrillation, atrial flutter, SVT, and VT. He has also performed a significant number of procedures involving cardiac device implantation, including pacemakers, defibrillators, and loop recorders. Outside of his professional life, Dr Meulet enjoys spending time with his family, exploring the beaches of northern New South Wales, and indulging in his hobbies of surfing and fishing. His dedication to his patients and his commitment to expanding his knowledge and expertise have earned him the respect of his colleagues and the gratitude of his patients.
