Dr Shailesh Khatri

Dr Shailesh Khatri is a highly experienced interventional cardiologist, specialising in procedures such as coronary angiography, angioplasty, and stenting, carotid angiography, angioplasty, and stenting, as well as PFO and ASD closures. He currently practices in Helensvale, Gold Coast, Queensland, Australia, with admitting rights to John Flynn Private Hospital and Pindara Private Hospital. Dr Khatri obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree from the University of Queensland in 1990. He then completed his cardiology training at various renowned hospitals including The Royal Brisbane Hospital, Prince Charles Hospital, and John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle, Australia. In 2001, he further specialised in Interventional Cardiology by completing a Fellowship at St. Paul's Hospital in Vancouver, Canada, during which he performed over 1200 procedures. With his extensive training and diverse experience, Dr Khatri is a Fellow of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and a Fellow of the Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand. He is also a Member of the Society of Cardiac Angiography and Interventions and holds membership with The Australian Medical Association.
