Dr Thomas Butler

Tom is a passionate and experienced cardiac imaging specialist who graduated from the University of Queensland. With a keen interest in non-invasive imaging techniques like echocardiography and stress testing, as well as CT coronary angiography and Calcium scoring, Tom is focussed on preventing cardiac disease and helping individuals understand their cardiac risk. His belief is that non-invasive imaging and traditional risk markers are crucial to manage patients' health before they experience a severe cardiac episode.

Tom has broad experience diagnosing and treating patients with an array of cardiac diseases, such as hypertension, lipid management, acute coronary syndromes, atrial fibrillation, valvular heart disease, inherited cardiac disease, and heart failure. He is based at John Flynn Hospital and welcomes referrals from Queensland and Northern NSW patients. Tom positively engages with other medical professionals to deliver the best possible health outcomes for his patients.
