Dr Meenakshi Raj

Dr. M. Raj is a highly trained and experienced Neurologist who is passionate about providing exceptional care to her patients. Dr. Raj completed her MBBS in India before pursuing further training in various tertiary hospitals in India and the United Kingdom. In 2006, she moved to Australia and joined the Gold Coast Hospital, where she completed her physician training.

Dr. Raj's dedication and hard work paid off when she became a Fellow of Royal College of Physicians in 2013, after successfully completing her Neurology training at the Gold Coast Hospital and Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital. She then went on to complete a Fellowship in Movement Disorders at the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital.

Dr. Raj is extremely proficient in managing a wide range of neurological conditions, including multiple sclerosis, stroke, epilepsy, neuropathy, headache, and migraine. She has a special interest in movement disorders and is particularly adept at managing Parkinson's disease and other Parkinson's syndromes, dystonia, and Botulinum toxin treatment. In fact, Dr. Raj is a Medicare approved Botulinum toxin injector and has extensive experience performing injections for various neurological conditions such as dystonia, hemi-facial spasm, blepharospasm, spasticity, and migraine.

Apart from her expertise in movement disorders and Botulinum toxin treatment, Dr. Raj also performs nerve conduction studies/EMG and EEG, ensuring that her patients receive a comprehensive neurological assessment. With her years of experience and expertise, Dr. Raj is committed to providing the best possible care to her patients, helping them lead healthier and happier lives.
