Dr Igor Banzic

Dr. Igor Banzic is an esteemed vascular surgeon with 17 years of experience under his belt. He has recently taken over Dr. Michael Neale’s practice at North Shore Private Hospital after Dr. Neale’s retirement. Dr. Banzic is a Fellow of the European Board of Vascular Surgery and a Fellow of the Royal Australian College of Surgeons. He has an impressive track record of working in some of the world's top hospitals and holds three postgraduate fellowships.

Dr. Banzic specializes in endovascular and open repair management of all vascular conditions, with extensive experience in complex open and endovascular vascular reconstructions of the thoracoabdominal aorta, aortic arch, and main visceral arteries. His special interests lie in thoracoabdominal aortic surgery, complete venous pathology, and advanced less invasive endovascular procedures. Moreover, he has published over 50 academic works in highly regarded vascular journals and has completed a PhD in Vascular Surgery. He has also been an invited lecturer to over 50 international vascular meetings and conferences.

Apart from his professional achievements, Dr. Banzic is a man full of life. He is an avid pilot and enjoys flying planes. Additionally, he is an enthusiastic traveler and is only a few countries away from his goal of visiting all 193 UN countries. He is also passionate about scuba diving and can talk for hours about these hobbies. He is a happy husband and the father of two little girls.
