Dr Hanlon Sia

Dr Hanlon Sia is a highly skilled haematologist with over 20 years of experience in the field. He obtained his MBBS from the University of Adelaide in 2000, following which he underwent three years of Basic Physician Training at The Queen Elizabeth Hospital and The Lyell McEwin Hospitals. He then completed Advanced Physician Training in Haematology at the Royal Adelaide Hospital and the Institute of Medical and Veterinary Science from 2005 to 2007, where he gained experience in the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic leukaemias, lymphoma, multiple myeloma, stem cell transplantations, thalassaemia, haemophilia and thrombophilia.

Dr Sia continued his advanced clinical and laboratory haematology training at The Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane, where he worked until 2018. There, he was involved in multiple research projects and clinical trials in leukaemia, myeloma and lymphoma treatments. He has also published several peer-reviewed articles in various medical journals.

Aside from his extensive medical expertise, Dr Sia is multilingual and fluent in English, Chinese, Malaysian and Indonesian. He is a registered member of the Medical Board of Queensland, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians and the Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia. He is also associated with the Australasian Leukaemia and Lymphoma Group.

Today, Dr Sia is a highly respected professional in his field and is known for his compassionate approach to patient care.
