After completing his advanced haematology training, he worked as a fellow for two years in haemostasis and thrombosis at the Queen Elizabeth Hospital. During this period, he provided both inpatient and outpatient care for complex cases of arterial and venous thrombosis and bleeding disorders. He also took part in clinical trials of thromboprophylaxis, new classes of anticoagulants, and advanced coagulation testing. Dr Lee is not only dedicated to his clinical work but also to teaching and research. He worked as a lecturer and examiner at the University of Adelaide and participated in various haematology research projects, particularly in the area of thrombosis and haemostasis. Until now, Dr Lee remains active in research projects, including those pertaining to modern therapy in leukaemia, myeloma, and lymphoma treatment trials. He is also fluent in three languages – English, Mandarin, and Cantonese. Dr Lee has professional affiliations with the Medical Board of Queensland Registration, the Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP), and The Royal College of Pathologists of Australasia (FRCPA). His dedication to his patients' care and his passion for research has made him a respected member of the medical community.
