Dr Greg Couzens is an accomplished orthopaedic surgeon specializing in hand and upper limb surgery. He obtained his degree from The University of Queensland and has extensive training in Orthopaedics, including Fellowships in Hand Surgery at the Derbyshire Royal Infirmary and in Hand and Microsurgery at Royal North Shore Hospital. Dr Couzens completed his Hand and Upper Limb Fellowship training at the Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane.
In addition to his clinical work, Dr Couzens is currently pursuing a PhD in wrist biomechanics at Queensland University of Technology’s Institute of Health & Biomedical Innovation. He is a founding member and director of the Brisbane Hand and Upper Limb Research Institute, and his academic contributions include numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters.
Dr Couzens is also involved in the scientific community as a Journal of Hand Surgery (European volume) and Journal of Engineering in Medicine reviewer. He regularly participates in scientific meetings on hand and wrist surgery. With years of professional experience, he has developed a particular clinical interest in hand and wrist surgery.
