Dr Ben Hope

Dr. Benjamin Hope is an Orthopaedic Surgeon specializing in the surgery of the upper limb and hand. He obtained his Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery with Honors from the University of Tasmania in 2000. Dr. Hope completed his Orthopaedic training in Queensland in 2006 and earned a fellowship with the Royal Australasian College of Surgeons in 2009.

With a specific interest in hand and wrist surgery, trauma and microsurgery, as well as shoulder surgery, Dr. Hope furthered his training through various fellowships. He completed a 12-month fellowship at Sydney Hospital and St. Luke's, where he gained extensive experience in microvascular surgery under the guidance of some of Australia's top microsurgeons.

In 2011, Dr. Hope pursued further training in shoulder surgery at the Instituto Clinico Humanitas in Milan, working closely with renowned shoulder surgeon Dr. Alessandro Castagna. To enhance his advanced training in upper limb surgery, he spent 6 months as a fellow in the Princess Alexandra Hospital upper limb unit in 2011 before joining the unit as a consultant surgeon in the following year.

Since 2012, Dr. Hope has held a public appointment at Princess Alexandra Hospital and has been an integral member of the Hand and Upper Limb Clinic at Brisbane Private Hospital, where he practices in private. Dr. Hope is well-regarded for his surgical expertise and his dedication to the field of Orthopaedics.
