Dr Simone Ramsay

Dr Simone Ramsay is a highly skilled General Surgeon located in South Brisbane, with a focus on providing expert care and treatment for patients with conditions of the colon, pelvis, and rectum. Dr Ramsay has a particular interest in treating bowel cancer, hernias, haemorrhoids, rectal prolapse and functional disorders.
Dr Ramsay's strong academic background in General Surgery began after completing a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery degree at the University of Queensland. After working as a Staff Specialist General Surgeon at the Prince Charles Hospital for five years, she completed her fellowship in Colorectal and Acute Surgery at the Royal Hobart Hospital. Dr Ramsay has also undertaken a six-month Observership at the Western General Hospital in Edinburgh, where she gained extensive experience working with one of the largest Pelvic Floor units in the United Kingdom. Dr Ramsay operates and consults at the Mater Redlands Private Hospital, The Greenslopes Private Hospital, and the Mater Private Hospital South Brisbane.
