Dr Asif Shahzad

Dr Asif Shahzad is a greatly respected gastroenterologist and hepatologist with a special interest in endoscopy, inflammatory bowel disease, and complex gastrointestinal and liver disorders. He completed his training in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at various hospitals in Adelaide, South Australia, and obtained his fellowship from the Royal Australian College of Physicians (RACP).

Dr Shahzad has a particular focus on treating inflammatory bowel disease and motility disorders of the gut. To further enhance his expertise, he pursued additional training at Princess Alexandra Hospital in Brisbane. He currently holds positions at Logan Hospital and provides private services at Sunnybank Private Hospital.

Not only is Dr Shahzad an accomplished practitioner, but he also contributes to the medical field as an examiner for the RACP and a mentor in Supervisor Professional Development Programs. His dedication to education extends to his role as a Senior Lecturer at Griffith University, where he shares his knowledge and passion with aspiring medical students.
